N0 ORDINARY GROOVE

The groove running down the entire length of the product is no ordinary groove. The groove dimension size is specially calculated to indicate a flaw within the stroke. If putting across the line or skidding the ball, a mistake will be quickly spotted. If the putter face was not square while contacting the ball, that will be indicated as well. 1988  While using a router on a piece of plywood, the invention is thought of.  After a few days of thinking, the name Putterball is chosen as the desired name.

1989  More consideration is given to the invention and a prototype is made.

1990  Forms received from one of the popular "do you have an invention" places.  Form filled out, notarized and returned.  Heard nothing back from them.

1992  Applied for U.S. Patent for the design of the invention.

1997  After many years of waiting patent is finally granted.

2000  Visited patent attorney to seek trademark for the name Putterball.  Similar name had been chosen by another person.  Dreams of having that name were retired.  While in patent attorney's office, thought up the name Simple-Spin.

2001  First run of the product were manufactured.  Marketing pursued.

2002  Trademark for name Simple-Spin is recognized and approved.  Web site produced with extensive advertising to follow.
